Antonio Adama, the successful director of Private’s The Gladiator (or sorry, The Private Gladiator), doesn’t succeed with much here. Cleopatra is cornball in many ways. The English track is dubbed over the original lanaguage and the result is Porn Fu. The back of the box says this movie was filmed in Cairo, Luxor and Naples. But don’t get excited about that as the only shots in Egypt are of the cast walking around at a tourist attraction. Then they step through a doorway and are back in a “tomb,” presumeably some sound stage in Naples.

The synthy “Egyptian” music is bad as are the Cher wigs that all the girls wear. The story is equally crummy – an archealogist hunts for Cleopatra’s mummy (he cuts the wrapping off of it with amazing skill – haha) so he can remake her from her DNA. The problem is this movie is “To Be Continued” so you never know what happens even if you bothered watching the plot segments.The sex is standard Private fare, dirty but somehow not hardcore. There’s oral sex a plenty particulary if you like guys licking flawless pussies. Quite a few of the scenes end in anal sex without condoms. Private has put a couple of its big name hussies in this one, inculding Bobbi Eden and Rita Faltoyano. Rita’s scene is good – the best of the DVD. After a great BJ she ends up between the business end of a DP. But Bobbi’s scene is a weak, brief blowjob-only bit that appears at the end of the movie. We can only assume she’ll be appearing in Cleopatra Part 2. The other chicks are just OK, a few of them like Julia Taylor (as Cleopatra – this movie skips time zones a bit) are hampered by the fakey black wigs and the strange eye make-up Private adores.So, there’s really nothing here to get very excited about. I rate this a 2.5. You can do better with a Private movie. Try the Private Gladiator if you’re looking for a little Euro story porn.
