College Wild Parties Volume 9

I’ve never watched Girls Gone Wild or any of its knockoffs. When I opened the mail and found College Wild Parties Volume 9 I actually said out loud “What the fuck?” I didn’t remember requesting it for review, but then I thought again and realized that I really did request this for reviewing simply because I never had watched or really considered watching anything like this before.

There is a definite appeal in the concept of amateurs.

Sure, there’s plenty of lovely pornstars, but there’s a certain rather standardized look to being a pornstar that makes them rather indistinguishable from one another. At least it seems like that some of the time. So, seeing women who look like the kind you may encounter at the bar or down at the coffee shop getting naked and getting it on has an appeal. A bit more variety, a bit more accessibility. So, I popped in College Wild Parties Volume 9 thinking that I was going to get something that felt a bit more natural and had women who seemed more real. That’s not quite what I got. The performers are professionals including Cody Lane, Montana Rae, Tyla Wynn, Megan Martinez, and Holly Wellin. Still despite their status, the parties themselves seem pretty real and since I enjoyed the scenes anyway, it doesn’t really matter much.

The first scene on the DVD is entitled “Montana.” Montana starts with a completely staged confrontation between Montana and her “boyfriend.” I didn’t really expect anything like a staged reason for the sex to occur. I figured that the only reasoning we would need would be drunkenness and a camera. I was a little surprised by it, but, ultimately I just kind of glossed over it. Since this was the only scene with something very clearly being used as a setup it’s not much of a hit against the movie. Beyond that it was actually a pretty sexy scene. The way Montana gave a blowjob was great, except for the occasional spitting and drooling, which always grosses me out. That she wasn’t completely shaved was kind of refreshing. A bit of bush has its appeal. Not a bad scene in general.

Montana is followed up by “Tiffany and Cody.” This one gets straight to drunk young women making out on a couch and making asses of themselves. I suppose I should amend that to say hot drunk young women. What got me was that, unlike most lesbian scenes I’ve watched, they actually seemed really into it and like they might actually be having some fun together. After a few minutes of lesbian fun they bring a guy into the mix. Which adds a bit to it. There’s a kind of franticness to the scene which I think works for it. It’s not that it makes it feel any less like a planned scene, but it definitely made the scene a lot more exciting.

Next up was “Nikki” another scene that skips straight to the sex. No set up, and that’s good. The set up for Montana annoyed me because it was really obvious to me that it was staged, kind of broke the illusion of “reality” for me. Nikki is another whose blowjob technique I enjoyed. I didn’t see much in the way of spitting or drooling. Still, the scene fell a bit flat for me after the Tiffany and Cody scene. There was a lot of energy in the previous scene that just wasn’t there in this one. This scene also had a lot of jabbering from the man behind the camera that struck me as obnoxious and didn’t really add much to the scene for me. It annoyed me more than anything else and helped kill the excitement built in the Tiffany & Cody scene.

Nikki was followed by “Holly and Megan.” Again this scene lacked the energy of the Tiffany and Cody scene, so while it was hot, it just didn’t get me the same way. Two women dance around a bit for a big group, strip, make out then pick a guy from the group and start slobbering on his dick. Actually this scene did get interesting as one of the cameramen started wandering and talking to one of the other women at the party, Tyla Wynn. She was goofy but a lot more fun to watch than Holly and Megan. I would’ve preferred if they’d followed her a bit more, but they didn’t.

“Vanessa” follows Holly and Megan. Same basic setup, cute girl goes to a party and starts stripping and fucking. Unfortunately, she starts by doing the gagging, drooling cocksucking that just turns me right off. This is probably the only scene that had any focus on the woman getting her pussy eaten, so it has something going for it in that regard, but it’s not much, especially when he starts spitting on her pussy. This scene is rougher than the others. There’s some choking and it just has this slightly more violent vibe to it, which just didn’t help it. Overall, it just wasn’t as fun to watch as any of the other scenes, and was even a bit on the uncomfortable side, mostly due to the violent vibe it had to it.

I didn’t actually expect to enjoy College Wild Parties Volume 9, but I did. Well, I enjoyed about half of it, which is more than usual. I was a lot more engaged in a lot more of the scenes than I usually am. Most of the scenes I didn’t like as much still had one or two things keeping me interested. The scenes I did like were really engaging. I didn’t even think about reaching for the fast forward button on the first two scenes, because I didn’t want to miss anything. The rest of the scenes didn’t have me as engaged, but still had something going for them, with the exception of the Vanessa scene which just made me uncomfortable.

I had a couple of little problems with the movie in general. It’s advertised as being “real,” but it’s obvious it’s not. Also, this may not matter to too many others but I was kind of bothered by the lack of condom use in the scenes. I counted one condom. Maybe I missed the rest. Not to be a killjoy, but whatever happened to safe sex? I guess it bothered me more than usual because this is purported to be real. I also could have done without the yelling and hooting and hollering or the voice of the cameraman most of the time, but mute fixed that when it got really obnoxious. Overall it’s a fun watch with a couple of scenes that actually had me watching the entire scene without even thinking about fast forwarding. The Vanessa scene was a little much for me and almost ruined the whole movie for me, but on reflection I liked a lot more than I didn’t like. I give College Wild Parties 9 four out of five kleenexes.
