Fame is a feature film from Wicked Pictures starring Kaylani Lei. It’s the story of a aspiring singer who makes it big and struggles with the pressures of fame on her personal life. I have a lot of mixed feelings about this movie. Not so much because the story is unoriginal, but it’s just not particularly presented in a unique way. I’m a fan of story/plot based porn, but this one came off as unoriginal and uninteresting despite very good sex scenes.

Being a story about a singer, the first fear is that you’re actually going to having singing in this title. And they do here. However, I have to admit that it was good. The song and singing wasn’t cheesy or stupid and director Francois Clousot didn’t flood the movie with it. For those of you who are still shivering from the blatant ridiculousness of the re-make The Opening of Misty Beethoven: The Musical (which was an embarrassing interpretation of one of the greatest, classic porns of all time), no worries here.

Kaylani Lei does a pretty decent job acting in this film and her sex scenes are good as well. However, she’s just not the type of female performer that pops for me. I’m not saying that other may not love her look and really get into her, but just not my cup of tea. The sex scene are well-shot, but pretty typical.

The problem with this movie is that the fundamentals (editing, shooting, set, acting) are done quite well, but the sex and delivery of the story is completely uninspiring. It’s not bad, but it’s not good.
