Nina Hartley’s Guide to Sensual Domination Part 2 is definitely better than the first one thanks largely to more generous helpings of sex. Picking up where the last DVD left off, Nina is your guide in exploring the realm of sensual domination, mainly that of a female partner. Nina starts off the film as she starts off all her movies: she drones on about social restrictions and taboos and yada yada yada. There are a few helpful hints here like creating “safe” words you and your partner can use if the situation gets too intense.

There’s a playful, slightly odd vibe to Nina’s instructions. Maybe she’s just a wee bit crazy.

Nina demonstrates her love tactics with several willing girls. Amber Michaels is here along with Shayla and Dynamite. Nobody’s too ugly and the cast seems much more attractive than the crew used for the Part 1 of this series (though I could be misremembering). After Nina talks about “private place spaces” and other gibberish, she shows you how to LIGHTLY dominate your lover through mild bondage, tickling, spanking and whipping. There’s nothing too hardcore but Adam and Eve mainly panders to a couples-oriented market so this makes sense.

And there is more sex. If you like your twat-licking broken up every 2 minutes by Nina’s inability to keep her mouth shut, you’re in luck, but the movie does pick up and turn into more of a normal porno after a bit. Nina humps a girl with a strap-on and then puts on a different strap-on for some anal-humping. See, that’s all it took to elevate this one into entertaining.

The final scene finds Steve Hatcher and an OK girl with an amazingly smooth looking vagina and ass (this is good) having oral, vaginal and anal sex. There’s nothing too surprising but it’s a nice bonus. So even with all the instructions Nina gives you the movie starts to feel less like a “guide” and more like a porno near the end. I think you could probably pull some decent tips out of this if that’s what you’re looking for, but it’s also nice to know that it’s not a complete flop in the action department either. I give this one a 3. It’s watchable.
